A TV news personality in Minneapolis is being treated in a local hospital after he was attacked on a train platform Tuesday morning.

Matt Belanger, who anchors KSTP’s “5 Eyewitness News,” was standing on the platform at about 9 a.m. when a man threw “a rock or a piece of concrete” at him, striking him on the face near his eye, police say. Although the suspect ran off, Minneapolis P.D. officers were able to track him down and take him into custody a short time later, police say. Information about the suspect or his motive have not been released.

Belanger was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for a “significant injury” to his left eye, KSTP officials say. He’s expected to return to work “within a few days,” according to the station.
