A new discovery in the case of Ahmaud Arbery reveals that a card was left at the memorial site that apologizes for not “stopping” the men that killed Arbery while he was jogging through his Brunswick neighborhood.
The card read: “I am sorry. I should have stopped them,” and has been entered into evidence as many wonder if there was another witness to the crime.
Lee Merritt, the attorney for the Arbery family says a picture of the card will be turned over to the Georgia Bureau of Investigations and District Attorney Joyette Holmes as “critical evidence.”
