One Maryland woman likely won’t be nominated for Mother of the Year after she reportedly left her children inside a locked car while she received an illegal manicure.

Baltimore resident Keontae Moodie, 21, was charged Thursday with two counts of leaving a child unattended in connection with the incident. After a concerned resident called police, officers found a 3-month-old boy and a 3-year-old girl locked in a car — but couldn’t find a parent anywhere, according to an incident report. They ended up breaking out one of the windows to free the kids, who checked out OK, per the report.

After noticing some activity inside a nail salon that was supposed to be closed under coronavirus restrictions, a police supervisor knocked on the door — and found Moodie inside, getting her nails done, the report indicates. They ordered the owner of the shop to shut down immediately.
