NASCAR drivers will be racing around the track again beginning this weekend at Darlington, but how fast can fans get back in the seats?

NBC Sports reports the league is hopeful that will happen sometime later this year, but there’s no timetable.

Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb hopes fan attended sporting events and gatherings over 250 could take place by Independence Day.

NASCAR executive VP and chief racing development officer says the league has been in contact with governors who say they too may be ready and open to the idea, adding that nobody has said “‘no way’ for the rest of the year.”
