HHS Secretary: Poor Health Part Of The Reason For High Death Toll

Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar says America’s unhealth habits are part of the reason the coronavirus death toll has been so high in the U.S.

Appearing on CNN’s State of the Union on Sunday, Azar cited health issues like obesity, hypertension, and diabetes that put more Americans at risk – particulary in minority communities.

Azar called it “an unfortunate legacy in our health care system that we certainly do need to address”.
