Judge Blocks NC Law Limiting Church Services To 10 People

A federal judge has blocked a North Carolina rule that limits indoor church services to ten or fewer people during the pandemic.

The judge determined that the rule, part of Gov. Roy Cooper’s ‘stay-at-home’ order, holds churches to a stricter standard than busineses, which can operate at 50 percent capacity.

The judge wrote that “There is no pandemic exception to the Constitution of the United States or the free exercise clause of the First Amendment”.
