New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy is finally lifting the state’s stay-at-home order that has been in place since mid-March.

On Tuesday, Murphy announced that the lockdown was lifted and that gatherings of up to 50 people indoors and 100 people outdoors would be permitted. He recommended that citizens wear facemasks in public and maintain social distancing guidelines.

New Jersey has been one of the hardest-hit states by the coronavirus pandemic but has seen new hospitalizations drop by 44 percent over the last 15 days.
