After facing multiple threats on her life for issuing a countywide face mask order, Orange County Health Officer Nichole Quick has resigned.

The order was issued on May 23 amid the coronavirus pandemic that while in public face-covering was mandatory.

On May 28, the order was amended, even though Quick said the order was important for the health of the community.

Orange County has 113 additional coronavirus cases with a total of 7,527 cases. Quick didn’t comment on her departure.
