Just when you thought it couldn’t get worse, Harvard health expert Dr. Ashish Jha predicts that an additional 100,000 coronavirus deaths could happen by September.

Almost 113,000 people in the U.S. have died from the coronavirus at this time and the model that’s being used now predicts that the death toll will reach a staggering 193,000 by the beginning of October.

“The pandemic won’t be over in September,” says Dr. Jha. “So I’m really worried about where we’re going to be in the weeks and months ahead.”

Currently, the number of coronavirus infections are nearing 2 million.
