Andrew Yang Wants Tech Companies To Pay You For Your Data

Andrew Yang, the entrepreneur who ran for president on his $1,000-a-month ‘Freedom Dividend’, is now pushing a new idea – the ‘Data Dividend’.

Yang says big tech companies like Facebook and Google should be paying users for the data they collect – and that users should be able to opt out.

Yang’s Data Dividend Project will push for laws that protect consumer data as personal property that can be sold or kept private.
