The U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez came out victorious in her Democratic Congressional Primary Tuesday.

Ocasio-Cortez was a surprise winner in 2018, but this year she scored a resounding win over her opponents.

Because of the coronavirus, New York chose to allow voting by mail.

The process of opening and counting the ballots starts July 1. The other important races in New York are close calls and the counting of the ballots will be a big factor in determining who will come out triumphant.
