Mayor Johnson is allocating over 14 million dollars to the bureau of rodent control in his 2024 budget. That’s about 1.5 million dollars more than last year. Block Club Chicago reports there were over 50 thousand complaints about rats last year. The Chicago Department of Streets and Sanitation says the additional money will add three new rat control crews. Chicago has been named the rattiest city in America 8 years in a row.
