Bally’s temporary casino at the Medinah Temple will open 24/7 on Wednesday. Since opening the hours at the casino in River North has been from 4 a.m. till 8 a.m. The Sun Times reports Bally’s received the green light from the Illinois Gaming Board to operate 24/7, as well as to expand its marketing operations, a plan that also required regulator approval. About a quarter of a million people have come to gamble at the casino since it opened. The casino has over 800 slot machines and over 55 gaming tables. The company is building a permanent casino at the old Tribune Publishing site. It’s expected to open in 2026.
