Starting February first Metra will reduce its zones from 10 to4. There will no longer be 10 ride passes and the commuter rail is closing its remaining ticket windows. Vending machines will be available at the busiest station. The 10 ride pass is being replaced with a 5 day pack that’s only available on the Ventra app. Monthly passes will now range from 75 to 135 dollars depending on zones. One way tickets will cost between $3.75 and $6.75
