The campaign for former President Trump filed an appeal in Cook County this morning after a Cook County judge ordered ordered the Illinois Board of Elections to remove Trump’s name from the ballot on Wednesday. The judge has issued a stay while the appeal plays out in court. The group Free Speech for People say Trump should not be allowed to remain on the ballot after engaging in insurrection during the January 6th attack on the Capitol. The Supreme Court announced on Wednesday they will hear Trump’s immunity case in April and a decision is expected in June.
