Two measles cases diagnosed in Chicago

In the last 24 hours two measles cases have been diagnosed in Chicago, the second a child living at the city’s largest migrant shelter in Pilsen. The Chicago Department of Public Health says the child has now recovered and is no longer contagious. CDPH is trying to find those the child may have come into contact while contagious. The first patient diagnosed was treated at Swedish Hospital’s Galter Pavillion last Tuesday. Since the first of the year there have been 41 cases in the U.S. Last year there were 58 total cases.
