Balloon Drop Is Up In The Air For RNC Finale

At Thursday night’s finale of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, former president Donald Trump will accept the nomination of his party for President. At that moment, over 100 thousand red, white and blue balloons will descend from the rafters of Fiserv Forum.

Last Friday, fourteen students from Milwaukee area schools helped blow up these balloons before being netted high above the convention floor. The balloon drop is being orchestrated by Anaheim, California based Glasshouse Balloon Company. They are no stranger to balloons or political conventions. The company claims to have been involved in over fifteen Republican and Democratic National Conventions.

Company president Treb Heining says the display will require no helium and that the balloons were inflated by a system of compressed air. Imagine 14 children attempting to blow up that many balloons using lung power? It would have taken months! In return for the help, Glasshouse awards paid internships to the students as they assist area hotels during the RNC.
