Over a dozen Chicago area museums will be offering free days throughout the month of August.

Illinois residents will be able to take advantage of free admission at venues such as the Art Institute, Adler Planetarium, the Chicago Botanic Garden and other institutions on rotating dates.

Some will require to reserve online, while others will accept walk-ups. All museums will have specific operating hours and free days, so it’s best to check ahead of time.
