The Illinois secretary of state’s office is now accepting contactless payments like Apple or Google pay at all of its driver facilities. This is the start of adding new technology at the DMV, digital drivers licenses and ID’s are expected to begin next year. Governor Pritzker signed a law last month giving residents that option of a digital or physical card. About a dozen other states offer digital IDs.
