O’hare and Midway are outdated, crowded and overall unpleasant for those traveling through Chicago. The J.D. power survey found both Chicago airports ranked almost last in this years survey of North American airports. Travelers were disappointed with concessions, facilities and access to parking lots. O’Hare ranked 18th among the 20 largest airports. Midway placed 23rd of 27 among midsize airports. A massive renovation of O’hare is underway. It’s expected to be complete by 2028.
