A woman was stabbed multiple times in a domestic violence incident in DeKalb over the weekend, according to police.
The incident happened near Greenbrier Road and Normal Road on Saturday at about 12:40 a.m., where the woman was found in critical condition with multiple stab wounds around her body.
DeKalb police said she is expected to recover from her injuries.
44 year old Edgar Perkins was married to the victim but they had been separated for a while. He turned himself in shortly after the incident.
Perkins has been charged with three felony charges: attempted murder, domestic battery and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
No update has been provided on the woman’s condition.
