(Aurora, IL) — The City of Aurora’s Public Art Division is excited to unveil its final exhibit of 2024 during an opening reception on Friday, December 6.
Winter Garden of Youth features artwork by student artists from Aurora’s K-12 schools. As many as 200 pieces of artwork will be on display, including drawings, paintings, and sculptures.
“Now in its 26th year, Winter Garden is always a favorite exhibit,” said Public Art Project Assistant, Sangeeta Pande. “It’s a joy to see proud families and smiling students taking photos with their artwork on formal display.”
The exhibit’s opening reception will take place on Friday, December 6 from 6 P.M. to 9 P.M. at the David L. Pierce Art & History Center, located at 20 E. Downer Place in downtown Aurora.
Winter Garden will run from Friday, December 6, 2024 through Saturday, January 11, 2025. Aurora Public Art’s gallery hours are from 12 P.M. to 4 P.M. on Wednesday through Friday, and from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. on Saturday.
