(CHICAGO) In the race for mayor, there’s new name-calling.
Flamboyant challenger Willie Wilson, who got 10% of the vote in 2015, is now calling Rahm Emanuel “mentally ill” for closing so many schools and mental health clinics.
“He has a mental health problem and I say that on-record,” said Wilson, “He has a mental health problem. And if I did something like that, look-it, if I closed 48 schools and were mayor today in a white community, what do you think would happen?”
Willie Wilson was also asked if he thinks one or more of the other African-American candidates in the race are “shills” for Rahm to divide the black vote, “I think Rahm would do things to disrespect the African-American community.”
No response from the Emanuel campaign.
