Sen. Bernie Sanders has made ‘Medicare For All’ a cornerstone of his presidential campaign. On Tuesday, the Vermont Senator explained how he’d pay for expanding health care.

At a campaign event in New Hampshire, Sanders said he would likely fund the program by raising payroll taxes and income tax on high-income earners.

Sanders said his campaign doesn’t have a detailed plan in place yet, but promised it “would cost you and ordinary Americans a lot less than you are currently spending on average”.
