An Indiana producer has acknowledged animal cruelty by employees after video was recently released by an activist group.

The footage from Fair Oaks Farms, released by the Animal Recovery Mission, depicts individuals beating, throwing, sitting on, and burning calves. The organization also uncovered illicit drug use, including pot being grown.

Farm founder Mike McCloskey has viewed the video and says four of the individuals in it are employees and a fifth is a third-party truck driver. The veterinarian adds three of whom were fired months ago after other workers reported them.

The dated video has also been turned over to the local Sheriff’s office who is looking into it. McCloskey has reached out to ARM but hasn’t heard back. He isn’t happy and is working to make sure the actions don’t reoccur.
