More than 45,000 barrels of Jim Beam bourbon have gone up in flames after two warehouses caught fire overnight in Versailles, Kentucky.

Firefighters were able to quickly put out one of the fires, but the other burned for hours and was still going by Wednesday morning. One official said “With the bourbon spirits, there’s just a lot of material to burn”.

Firefighters say the fire might have been started by lightning. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported.
