According to the Pentagon, the cost of military support for the big 4th of July event called “A Salute to America,” was only $1.2 million.

The Independence Day celebration featured dazzling flyovers by stealth fighters, bombers, helicopters, and other military aircraft, as well as various displays featuring armored vehicles.

Some experts say that the $1.2 million figure provided by the Pentagon seems low and so far the Department of Defense has not provided a detailed accounting on how it arrived at the figure.
