Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders has added his voice to a group of people that are leading the charge to seek out cheaper insulin.

Sanders travelled to Windsor, Ontario over the weekend with a group of American diabetics to purchase insulin at a lower cost.

Figures show that on average a vial of insulin that Type 1 diabetics need to regulate their blood sugar costs about $340 here in the U.S., which is roughly 10 times the price in Canada.
