Governor Andrew Cuomo has signed off on a bill that further decriminalizes marijuana use in New York.

Under the new law, possessing less than one ounce of marijuana will carry a fine of just $50, and one to two ounces carries a maximum fine of $300.

The law will also allow people with certain marijuana convictions to get their records expunged. The bill will take effect in 30 days.
