Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez criticized Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell after pictures of young “Team Mitch” supporters groping and choking a cardboard cutout of her while at McConnell’s annual political picnic in Kentucky surfaced online.

The photos, shared on Twitter, were taken down, as well as the accounts of the men who posted the pics. Ocasio-Cortez asked McConnell on Twitter if the man worked for him and if their behavior was the standard culture for #TeamMitch.” McConnell’s team said they young men weren’t apart of his paid staff and condoned the behavior.

McConnell is also facing backlash after posting a photo featuring the headstones with prominent Democrats’ names on them hours after the El Paso shooting.
