The Environmental Protection Agency is backing off of its controversial ‘cyanide bomb’ decision after an outcry from enivronmental groups.
Last week, the agency re-authorized the use of a chemical trap called an M-44, which is used to kill wild animals like coyotes to protect livestock.
But the move was criticized by environmental groups, who claim ‘cyanide bombs’ are inhumane and potentially dangerous to humans and pets.
EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler called for “further analysis and additional discussions” before moving forward.
