Federal authorities have launched an investigation into ten ‘suspicious’ deaths at a West Virginia hospital – at least one of which has been ruled a homicide.

The Department of Veterans Affairs says it is investigating “potential wrongdoing resulting in patient deaths” at Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center.

While the VA did not comment further, each of the deaths appears to involve patients being given lethal doses of insulin. One case, involving an 82-year-old patient, was ruled a homicide after the body was exhumed.
