8th Grader Creates School ‘Pantry’ For Classmates In Need

A Louisiana eighth grader is helping out his classmates – by filling a school closet with with clothes and supplies for students in need.

13-year-old Chase Neyland-Square used a closet in the Port Allen Middle School gymnasium to create “PAM’s Pantry”, filling it with donated clothes and other items. He says students and their families are welcome to take items any time, no questions asked.

He says the closet has already helped one local family who lost their possessions in a fire.

But Chase has even bigger plans for “PAM’s Pantry”, hoping to turn it into a full-blown non-profit organization one day.
