Another bridge across the gender-barrier has been built in professional sports.

The NHL has tabbed four women to officiate several prospect tournaments this weekend.

ESPN reports Katie Guay and Kelly Cooke will referee. Kirsten Walsh and Kendall Hanley will be lines(wo)men.

The four were selected among 96 officials participating in an annual exposure combine last month. 11 woman took part.
