Former ESPN host Jemele Hill has been taking heat on social media since suggesting in an article that black athletes should make an exodus from predominantly white schools.

Hill contends that power conference schools have made bank off the “exertions of (uncompensated) black athletes.” She says historically black colleges and universities pay the price, despite producing 80% of black judges, 50% of black lawyers and doctors, 40% of black engineers, and 40% of black congressmen and women.

The now staff writer for The Atlantic is firing back at critics, tweeting in part, “encouraging black people to rebuild their communities is literally the opposite of racism, but OK.”
