Thousands of GM Auto Workers are on strike after contract talks broke down over the weekend, but they are expected to resume negotiating this morning.

According to the United Auto Workers union, workers are demanding fair wages, affordable healthcare and a fair share of profits.

The last time GM workers walked off the job was in 2007, which lasted for two days and ended up costing the company hundreds of millions of dollars.
