A soldier at Fort Riley, Kansas has been arrested by the FBI – accused of discussing plans to bomb a major US news network.

ABC News reports Jarrett William Smith had also suggested the targeting of Democratic presidential hopeful Beto O’Rourke, and admittedly shared bomb-building plans online.

In an online chat with an FBI informant, Smith discussed plans for an attack inside the US, his hope to locate other radicals like himself, and a desire to kill Antifa members.

Before joining the US Army, Smith allegedly planned to join a violent far-right Ukrainian group.
