If your employer is providing you with health insurance, it’s costing them a lot of money, matter of fact a record amount of money.

According to a new survey, the average total cost of family health coverage provided by employers passed $20,000 for a family plan this year.

The nonprofit Kaiser Family Foundation says annual premiums rose 5% to hit $20,576 with employers themselves taking on 71% of that cost, while employees paid the rest.
