A Virginia police officer has been suspended after allegedly handing an undocumented immigrant over to ICE.

Authorities he officer, who has not been identified, detained the suspect after a traffic accident, and notified ICE officials.

The Fairfax County Police Chief called it a “lapse in judgement” and said the incident was a violation of department policy.
