Uber has just launched a brand new app, being piloted in Chicago, called Uber Works and its goal is to connect temporary workers with businesses trying to fill empty slots in their schedules.

The company said “Uber Works has a business dashboard and we connect directly with businesses, including restaurants and others, to assist them with filling empty shifts.”

Users of the app can get detailed information about shifts that they are interested in with information such as gross pay, work location, skills, and required attire.
