Most of us work in order to pay our bills, but what we do with the remainder of our incomes seems dependent on age.

For the Millennial generation, the money is better spent on travel rather than putting towards paying off debt or saving for retirement.

While 81 percent surveyed by FlexJobs say jobs are necessary to afford monthly expenses, 63 percent go to work just so they can later go away.

Just over half of the 1,600 Millennials asked admit paying off debt was their primary motivator for working, while 58 percent entered the rat race to save for retirement.
