Georgia authorities say that a man serving a life sentence for rape and aggravated child molestation was mistakenly released Friday from the Rogers State Prison in Reidsville.

Savannah’s WTOC says that the Georgia Department of Corrections and U.S. Marshalls are on looking for 31-year-old Tony Maycon Munoz-Mendez. Anyone who may see Munoz-Mendez should not approach him but call 911 immediately.

Authorities haven’t explained how the convict was accidentally freed or why they waited three days to notify the public.
