Man Climbs World’s 14 Highest Peaks In Six Months

A 36-year-old Nepali man is the world’s fastest mountain climber, scaling the planet’s 14 highest peaks in just over six months’ time.

Nirmal Purja completed his feat this week by climbing the 26,000-foot Mount Shishapangma in Tibet. Only about 36 climbers have matched his accomplishment, usually over a period of several years.

How did Purja celebrate? By posting to Instagram, of course! Purja posted “Mission achieved” from the mountain summit, wrapping up what he had been calling ‘Project Possible’.
