Coors Leaving Denver For Chicago, Cuts 500 Jobs

Coors beer is synonomous with Colorado, once billing itself as a “taste of the Rockies”. But now the company might have to change that to “a taste of Lake Michigan”.

Molson Coors announced this week that it was leaving its Denver headquarters and moving to Chicago as part of a restructuring plan after posting a third-quarter loss of over $400 million. About 500 jobs will be cut as part of the restructuring.

However, the company will keep its brewery in Golden, Colorado, with plans to invest “several hundred million” in upgrading it.
