The US economy beat expectations in the 3rd quarter thanks to consumer spending growth.
The Commerce Department reports an advance reading of 1.9% growth.
It follows 2% 2nd quarter and 3.1% 1st quarter growth. Consumer spending had seen 4.6% growth in the 2nd quarter.
Despite the numbers, there’s still widespread concern of slowing momentum amid ongoing trade tensions.
