Spooky-colored contact lenses might be the thing to send your Halloween costume to the next level…but beware.

The Federal Trade Commission warns that all contact lenses need prescriptions, even if it’s just for a scary night of trick-or-treating.

Anyone selling contact lenses without a prescription from your doctor is breaking the law.

Your eyes might be in jeopardy if you wear non-approved lenses. You could experience blurred vision, pain and discomfort, watery and red eyes and even infection or blindness.
