The White House’s pick to lead the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Barry Myers, has withdrawn his nomination.

Myers told The Washington Times that he had undergone cancer treatments and wanted to use his time to focus on his health.

Myers was a controversial pick to lead NOAA. He was CEO of Accuweather which was founded by his brother. Accuweather allegedly settled a sexual harassment suit for $290,000 in 2017.
