Uber to Pay $4.4 Million to Settle Sexual Discrimination Case

As part of a settlement with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Uber is agreeing to pay more than $4-million to victims of sexual harassment.

The money will be dropped into a fund to compensate employees who experienced sexual harassment or retaliation after January 1st, 2014.

The ride-hailing company will also need to create a system to identify employees accused of harassment and managers who didn’t respond fast enough.
