Netflix joined the S&P index in 2010, at a time when it had only 1.2 million subscribers. A $1,000 investment in Netflix that year would have netted you nearly $43,000 today – a 4,181 percent return.

Today Netflix boasts more than 158 million subscribers around the world, but the launch of streaming services like Apple TV and Disney+ means stiff competition ahead in the 2020’s.
