Following a wave of recent anti-Semitic attacks in and around the New York City area, thousands marched to support the Jewish community on Sunday.

Senator Chuck Schumer was in attendance, telling the crowds that he’s working on getting the federal government to prop up local police departments with more funding to fight hate.

Governor Andrew Cuomo revealed that he will propose state legislation that would treat hate crimes as domestic terrorism.

According to the NYPD, there have been at least 14 reported anti-Semitic attacks over the last two weeks, with possibly the latest taking place in Brooklyn on Friday.
